Following a trying inaugural season, the Niagara Regional Raiders are looking forward the 2017 year. Wins were hard to come by for the Raiders in 2016, but Head Coach and General Manager Brad Anderson remains optimistic. “Only four of our players have graduated due to age,” said Anderson. “This is in deep contrast to the rest of the league, with some teams losing upwards of 20 players.”
Coach Anderson believes this will be a significant advantage for the Raiders. While other teams will have their graduating players replaced by unseasoned rookies, Niagara will have starters returning in many positions. The CJFL season is a grind, and having many players with game experience will give the Raiders a significant leg up.
Training Camp for the 2017 season will begin in July.
